Narrative and Fragment (2.1/2.2 )

2.1/2.2 was a project which made me explore the creative process rather than the design process. I was given a paragraph from the narrative works of Italo Calvino named 'Invisible Cities'.

From the paragraph which I was given I had to choose 6 interesting words which I would create concpet models for and eventually manipulate into my building which I had surveyed in the previous project (1.2) .

When I had manipulated the model I had to take images of the model that would represent the 6 words that I initially chose from the paragraph.

The required outputs for this project were: a 1:20 manipulated model, a 1:20 rendered section of the model, a 1:20 line section of the model , and six images - one for each of the words chosen from 'Invisible cities'

'Invisible Cities' paragraph

"Abandoned before or after it was inhabited. Armilla cannot be called deserted. At any hour, raising your eyes among the pipes, you are likely to glimpse a young woman, slender, not tall of stature, luxuriating in the bathtubs or arching their backs under the showers suspended in the void, washing or drying or perfuming themselves, or combing their long hair at the mirror. In the sun, the threads of water fanning from the showers glisten, the jets of the taps, the spurts, the splashes, the sponges' suds."
