About me

I have recently completed my Interior Architecture BA(Hons) Degree at Northumbria University and currently waiting on classification.
During my previous education I have studied subjects which have been tailored towards my future within Interior Architecture. I have studied product design which gave me an eye for innovation and longevity within design, the more technical subjects such as Physics, Mechanics and Maths have also given me a more technical view on the subject which allows me to make sensible structural decisions.
Interior Architecture focuses on the remodelling of existing buildings to create imaginative contemporary spaces or interventions. The understanding of structure, material and history of buildings also has played a large part in the degree. The degree has helped me to develop many aspects within my design approach, improved conceptualisation and spatial planning are areas in which I believe my designs have benefitted from.
Whilst I have been studying I have taken the opportunity to complete a course in Autodesk's Revit which I have been keen to use and develop in my last year. I believe the future of Architecture within BIM is a department which I could thrive in because of how challenging and exciting I have found it to be. I would love to continue my education in BIM further.
My aim as an Interior Architect is to work with existing pieces of Architecture to enhance historical features and bring an innovative and fresh aesthetic to dated buildings.
This website is my online portfolio which displays a selcetion of projects which I have completed in my three years at Northumbria University. .
